Trefor Davies, CTO, Timico

Trefor Davies is CTO and co-founder of Timico. Timico was founded in 2004 and has since then been one of the shining stars of the UK internet scene. For the past 3 years Timico has been 10th, 4th and 23rd in the Sunday Times Microsoft Techtrack100 of fastest growing technology companies. In 2009 Timico was also ranked 7th in the Deloitte Technology 50 (based on a 5 years compound annual growth of 5,055%) and came in 25th in the Deloitte European 500.

Trefor has worked in the field of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) since 1998, initially as Assistant Vice President of NGN technology strategy at Mitel Corporation. He was for 4 years a member of the Board of Directors of the SIP Forum, the trade association of the VoIP industry, during the critical period of the introduction of the technology. Tref now serves on the Industrial Panel of the Bangor University School of Informatics, is on the council of the UK Internet Services Providers' Association (ISPA) and was a founder of the Internet Telephony Service Providers Association (ITSPA).
